Protect against galvanic corrosion where different metals come into contact
KORREX® insulation bushes are essential in various technical applications. They are used for countersunk screws, electrically conductive connections and electrical sockets, among others, as well as mounting semiconductors on PCBs, heat sinks, etc. Made from the thermoplastic polyamide 6, these insulation bushes protect against galvanic corrosion where different metals come into contact.
Three models, wide range of sizes
KORREX® insulation bushes are available in various sizes, which is very useful as a precise size of bush is often required to achieve the desired effect. Three models are available; with a flat flange for metric sizes (type II/M), with a flat flange for imperial sizes (type II/WW), and for countersunk fasteners in imperial sizes (type I/WW). All these models are available in a whole range of sizes (from M4 to M20) and lengths (5 to 25 mm). For use at connections between different metals
Galvanic corrosion can occur where different metals come into contact under the influence of moisture. KORREX® insulation bushes prevent such damage to the metal and construction. These bushes are suitable for various metal combinations, such as:
När två olika metaller kommer i beröring med varandra och fukt förekommer mellan metallytorna uppkommer till följd avjonutbyte en elektrolytisk korrosion som angriper materialet.
Detta undviks i skruvförband genom att använda KORREX® Isolerhylsor, utförda i Nylon 6 (PA6).
KORREX® Isolerhylsor finns i två olika utföranden, med försänkt huvud/hatt eller med plant huvud. (se bilderna till höger.)
De metallkombinationer där isolerhylsorna i första hand rekommenderas är:
- Mässing – Järn
- Aluminium – Stål
- Järn – Koppar
- Eloxerade ytor – Järn
- Järn – Bly
- Zink – Tenn
Temperaturområdet för manschetterna ligger mellan, -60°C till +120°C.
Isolerhylsorna passar till både metriska och tum skruvförband och är tillgängliga i alla höjder från 5 mm till 25 mm.
